Head of Investment Climate, Infrastructure and Cities
Simon Stevens is Head of DFID’s Investment Climate, Infrastructure and Cities team. He is responsible for DFID’s £165m Cities and Infrastructure for Growth (CIG) programme, which is expected to start operating in Myanmar, Uganda and Zambia in early 2018. DFID’s ambition for CIG is to unblock the barriers to the infrastructure investments that are needed for productivity growth to take off.
Simon has worked in international development for 24 years, with experience in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, the Caribbean and the Pacific. For the past 17 years he has worked for DFID as a Programme Leader and Senior Economist.Back to speakers
